How long after excercise should you heart rate return to normal?

Related Items:

Just wondering what is normal, about one hour after excercise blood pressure was closer to normal but heart rate was still 112 beats. 30 Year old male with haemcromotosis (high iron blood disorder) playing soccer.
I generally have a slow heart rate when not excercising approx 45-55bpm. And no I am not very fit – have had some heart tests – been given all clear but find it hard to get pulse back down after excercise.

  1. it shouldn’t take nearly that long

  2. If you are playing soccer for a long period it will take some time to get back to normal. Normal can be around 80 beats a minute for some 30 year olds. Those who are very fit have a slower heart rate.
After an hour your heart rate should be back to normal for you.
What is your normal rate when you haven’t been exercising?
Email me and we can discuss further.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

  3. 80-100 is normal, so 112 isn’t that bad if you’ve just finished an entire game of soccer. i wouldn’t get worried until you have pain anywhere (especially chest) or numbness in any of your limbs.

  4. Well since soccer is a very intensive sport it will increase your heart rate very much and it will take it’s time to unwind too.
You just sound fine to me.
Unless you get develop chest pain or feel numb in your extremities.
    Sky.

  5. depends how fit u r and the exercise u r doing

  6. Your heart is a muscle and if you exercise a lot your heart will get stronger and eventually your heart rate will decrease as the heart gets stronger. Don’t worry about your heart rate its not serious.
