How long do I have to wait after eating a meal to excercise/work out without getting a stomach ache?

I’ve always excercied right before i wake up and then eat break fast afterwards because (I wonder if it’s just me?) when I try to excercise 1-2 hours after I eat anything, I get a MASSIVE stomach ache.
OH MY! LMAO sorry bout the “right before I wake up”! I meant AFTER! and then have breakfast!

You should wait 3 hours, or have just a small meal to tied you over.
i work out before i eat
A small meal, one hour. A large meal, 90 minutes to two hours. This time frame allows most people’s stomachs to empty. Yours may empty slower than some.
Neat trick, exercising right before you wake up. (“I’ve always excercied right before i wake up and…”) Wish I could sleep through it!
well try only waiting 30 mins and work out lightly… then you can step it up.
they say your supposed to excercise 30-45 min. after you eat, but for some people its different. also if you eat to much in the morning, you can serious cramps.
sounds like is u, it’ll be ur matablism rate (how fast ur food digests). 2 make it go faster u can get tablets.
for me it takes simply 15 mins b4 i can go excercise
Hope this helps!
XD
The average time it takes for a person to digest a meal is 7 hours. This is of course different for every person. For me, 1 hour was enough but I don’t eat heavily before working out. Maybe a little bit of food, little drink, then I’m off. It’s the same reason you’re supposed to wait an hour after eating before you swim. Try eating smaller meals before you work out, then eat up after. Your muscles need nutrients during the work out and during the muscle recovery process as well.
it depends on what you eat because light foods such as salads and fruit wont cause you to get a stomach ache. but how would u exercise “right before you wake up”? u exercise in your sleep? lol no but i’d say eat something light before you workout OR maybe the best thing for you to do is workout then eat!
you should wait 30 minutes to an hour. In your case I think you would be better off exercising before you eat. I have never heard of anyone having problems 2 hours after eating this is not normal. Now explain to me how you use to exercise right before you woke up, if that works I really want to try it, LOL
That’s something you have to work out for yourself. Its a function of what you eat and how YOUR digestive tract handles it. everybody’s different.
You may be able to alleviate the problem by finding foods that digest a little easier.
Are you doing crunches? Sit-ups? That might have to do with the stomach-aches.
What used to work for me was eat breakfast 1-2 hours BEFORE excercising and work out just before eating the other times of the day. Then sleep for as much as possible.
Wait about an hour or two.
