2500 calories is equal 1 pound of fat. My health teacher used to say. No matter what you do, no matter what exercise regime that is the math 2500 calories is = 1 pound
so if you consume 500 calories for five days that will be equal 1 pound less. you could cut your diet or better yet do exercise. But that is the math.
do the math. you have to somehow get rid of 7000 calories during those two weeks that you haven’t normally been getting rid of. it takes 3500 calories to lose a pound. so you want to burn those 1500 calories every day (which your body does on its own fairly well just by being an active person) then spread those 7000 calories out throughout the 7 days. so…you should probably be burning about 1000 calories a day, more than you already do. you burn about 100 calories per mile (walked or ran) it’s not exact, but its a good estimate. so just put together a good work out system with all of this in mind, and you will meet your goal. just make sure you are eating healthy.
As others have said, there are 3500 calories to the pound.
A very brisk walk burns about 500 calories per hour. So, if you walked an hour a day (fast enough to get your heart rate up), you could lose 1 lb a week. Clearly, this will not be enough, but you get the idea.
