well thats because you arent doing them correctly maybe you should jus do about 50 situps every night with a partner so that someone cam weight down your feet so you want her your neck which can lead to long term promblems
maybe thats becuase you do them to much. My ex-freind did those, and it didnt bother her, Maybe you should do like 50 crunches every morning and evening, just so you get even more used to it.
or do them for two or three days a week, just so your neck dont hurt anymore.
Actually, if you want to build strong abs you need to treat them like any other muscle group. Work them for 20 minutes or so 3 -4 times a week. Make sure you take 24 hours of rest between each work out so that your muscles have time to repair and grow. If you are only doing 100 crunches (which will only tone and not build muscle) then you can do them every day, but ensure that you take 1-2 days off for the muscles to rest and grow. Are you doing any other weights? If you are, then you are working your abs without knowing it. Think about how much you squeeze your abs when you lift weights. If that’s the case, you don’t need to work your abs more than 2-3 times a week. It won’t benefit you to over work your ab muscles.
you cant do abs everyday.. it could lead to serious injury! those muscles need rest as they need time to heal.. the gym instructor insists i do them every alternate day.. on the other days i work on my upper or lower body and i also do some cardio everyday! it helps..
Hi Steelphoenix! Good for you for looking to improve your current healthy habits.
Your abdominal muscles are not so unique that they can/should be trained everyday. Like your other muscle groups, they require adequate rest and are subject to over training.
I only work my clients abs 1-2 per week. That is sufficient to not only maintain abdominal integrity but to also improve it. Getting a six pack will primarily come from burning the subcutaneous (below the skin) fat around your waistline. This is where committing to the appropriate eating habits and exercise routine comes in to play.

You’re probably doing your crunches wrong. Don’t grab your neck. A common error is to pull at your head and this is damaging. Put your hands on your chest and leave all the work in your mid section.

They can handle a moderate workout almost every day.
But yours are telling you to back off a bit. Take a day off every three days.
Do it 3 days a week instead of every day.
