Is just floating around in my pool considered excercise?

Hello, I was just wondering if simply swimming in my pool was actually excersize. NOT actually swimming laps but just hanging out and floating around. Going off the diving board etc. Is this excercise? I assume it would be a very mild workout.
I am just wondering because I am taking a month off of all my sports.
Thanks
Thanks I didn’t really think it was
occasionally i will swim laps for like a half hour and I know that is a workout. I have also been rollerblading.

no, it won’t get your heart rate up, unless you do a lot of jumping off the board. it’s still better than sitting around watching tv
most would say no. But i guess you could do those workouts that old people do in the water it’s minimal but a workout. Running will also be good.
Especially if you are a active usually like runner, softball, swimming, etc then you don’t want to just veg out or float around. Do a little dancing to keep in shape.
No, not at all. Try dancing to your favorite music, or actually doing laps. If you dont sweat, its not that much of a workout.
a work out is something that poses some sort of physical challenge. cardio gets your heart beat up and is challenging once you get to a certain point. weights are straining to your muscles. floating around the pool does not create any sort of physical challenge, therefore i don’t think it won’t be considered exercise.
walking to the diving board, and swimming out to jump again will burn some calories, even floating believe or not will barely burn calories. U burn calories all day every day, but without working out it wont be much. Just drinking cold water will burn calories because ur body has to work to get the water warm. Like i said it wont burn much calories, but some.
